I'm Constantly Growing

The sculpture I’M CONSTANTLY GROWING, EVOLVING, AND BECOMING MY BEST SELF (2022) addresses the issue of climate crisis, melting glaciers and the depletion of raw materials in relation to the widespread meditative practices of self-affirmation (of which is found in the title of the work) that incite individuals to remain focused on themselves without fearing what will come. The installation presents a paradox for visitors: they will visualize ecological concerns that effect our planet and connect them to contemporary mantras from New Age psychological theories that that encourage the individual to take care of himself and his interests, repeating positive and enthusiastic phrases.
